FORM AND FOLD is the second exhibition of collaborative work between Ciaran Begley, Consuelo Cavaniglia, and myself.
Continuing from our previous exhibition TURN / FOLD / FLIP of abstract structures and drawings that centred on the idea of the book, we have expanded the unfolding page to the scale of standard hardware plywood boards. These large scale elements have been directly painted onto with sprayed gradients and geometric line work. These boards are then cut and folded with hinges to become free standing, self-supported sculptural elements that interact with colour gradients sprayed directly onto the wall, and the architectural space itself.
FORM AND FOLD will be on show at Verge Gallery, until February 21.
